On this private day trip to the ship graveyard of Moynaq, we will explore the significant environmental impact that led to the near-total disappearance of the Aral Sea.

Private Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Nukus at the agreed time and travel to the port of Moynaq, formerly part of the Aral Sea.

After a three-hour drive, we will arrive at the ship graveyard of Moynaq, which showcases many rusting vessels that once navigated the sea. This area reflects the drastic human actions that contributed to the sea's disappearance.

During the visit, we will learn about the environmental actions taken by USSR rulers decades ago as we observe the stranded ships, which resemble a graveyard.

Next, we will visit the Aral Sea and Regional History Museum to gain further insight into the area's history. After spending an hour at the museum, we will return to Nukus.

This private tour will conclude at your hotel after approximately 8.5 hours of exploration.
