Galle Private Tour

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Unawatuna at 8 am, setting off on a personalized tour to Galle, an historic colonial town in Sri Lanka.

Following a brief drive along the southern coastline, we will arrive in Galle, recognized as one of the country's most significant cities thanks to its rich heritage. The exploration will kick off with an overview of the town's fortifications, where you'll learn intriguing details about the Portuguese and Dutch presence in the 18th century.

Our first stop is the Galle Fort, a remarkable historical site that has survived the catastrophic 2004 tsunami. The preservation of this site is impressive! We will then proceed to the scenic bastions of Utrecht and Triton, which provide breathtaking vistas of the bay.

Next, we will stroll through the charming streets of the old town of Galle. Should you choose, you can visit the Maritime Museum during your time there. After the guided portion, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and unwind on the beach.

At the designated time, we will reconvene and make our way back to Unawatuna, wrapping up the tour at your hotel after approximately 7 hours.
