Your day begins at 4:30 am with a pickup from your accommodation in Unawatuna, setting the stage for an intriguing journey across eastern Sri Lanka. Are you prepared for an unforgettable safari in Yala National Park? Let's set off!

After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, we'll arrive at Yala National Park and commence our exploration of the diverse trails within this sanctuary for elephants, leopards, and crocodiles. This park is renowned as one of the premier wildlife observation sites in Sri Lanka.

During our 4x4 excursion, you'll learn about the various animals inhabiting the vast expanse of over 97,000 hectares. Did you know that Yala National Park boasts one of the world's highest leopard populations?

Midway through our journey, we will pause at a serene location within the park to relish a delicious picnic lunch. Following our meal, the adventure continues as we traverse the mesmerizing terrains of Yala, which feature a mix of wild, arid landscapes, and wetlands!
