Central Peru: 5, 6 or 8-Day Tour

Day 1: Pucallpa - Puerto Inca

Upon arrival at the airport or bus station in Pucallpa, we will drive two and a half hours to Puerto Inca. After checking into the hotel, you will have free time to explore. At 6 pm, we will gather for a tasting of local cocktails before dinner featuring several typical dishes.

Day 2: Puerto Inca - Huánuco - Puerto Inca

We will depart at 7:30 am to tour the Huánuco region, starting with a visit to a local fish farm, followed by a swim at the Pintuyacu River. After lunch with grilled fish, we will hike through the jungle and return for dinner and a salsa class.

Day 3: Puerto Inca - Amazon Rainforest

On the third day, we will travel to the village of Quimpichari and embark on an hour-long hike through the Amazon Rainforest, with fishing along the way. We will prepare a bonfire for lunch and set up camp for the night.

Day 4: Amazon Rainforest - Puerto Inca

After breakfast, we will visit the caves of La Viuda and hike through the jungle to the Viuda ravine for swimming and fishing. We will return to Puerto Inca for evening snacks, cocktails, and music.

Day 5: Puerto Inca - Pucallpa

The final day includes breakfast and transport to the airport or bus station for your return journey.

6-day tour

This option includes an additional day where we will visit the Río Hirviente and the Indigenous Mayantuyacu community, meeting the village shaman before returning to Puerto Inca.

8-day tour

The 8-day tour includes everything in the 6-day itinerary, plus a boat ride on the Pachitea River and a visit to an Indigenous Ashaninca community. There will also be an extra day at the Quimpichari campsite for jungle exploration and optional activities.

Accommodation & meals

The tour includes 3, 4, or 6 nights of accommodation at Los Incas Lodge and 1 or 2 nights at the Quimpichari campsite. All meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are provided. Breakfast features coffee, milk or tea, bread, eggs, butter, and jam, while meals include a main course and a drink.
