Immerse yourself in an extraordinary adventure during your holiday in Canada with this exceptional ice fishing excursion on the Great Slave Lake. This outing offers a wonderful opportunity to engage in the traditional practices of the Northwest Territories!
Ice Fishing Adventure on Great Slave Lake
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Yellowknife at 11 am, followed by a scenic drive to the shores of Great Slave Lake, which ranks as the second-largest lake in the Northwest Territories. Remarkably, at a depth of 2,000 feet, it holds the title of the deepest lake in North America, making it an ideal location to try your hand at ice fishing!
Upon arrival, a brief introduction will equip you with the skills needed to operate the fishing gear. Then, you can relax comfortably inside the tents as you await your catch, learning that patience is essential for successful ice fishing!
Throughout the experience, you'll discover various species found in the Great Slave Lake, including salmon, rainbow trout, and pike. To conclude the outing, a delicious light lunch is served, featuring some of the fish we have caught, paired with warm beverages to help you feel cozy.
Your memorable experience wraps up with a return transfer to your hotel in Yellowknife, with an estimated arrival time of 3 pm.
