Snowshoeing Trip on Great Slave Lake

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Yellowknife, before driving to a safe area on the shores of Great Slave Lake - the deepest lake in North America.

After a brief presentation on how to handle the equipment, we will put on our snowshoes and set off on our trek. Walking on ice is a special experience that must be tried.

We will walk along the shores of the lake, using poles and snowshoes to access terrains that are typically inaccessible. While enjoying the icy landscapes of Great Slave Lake, we will observe local wildlife, such as foxes and snow partridges.

If time allows, we will also traverse the frozen surface of Great Slave Lake and explore an ice cave. We conclude our adventure with some hot drinks to warm us up.

We will return to Yellowknife, dropping you at your hotel two hours after pickup.
