Day Trip Details
Our adventure begins at the arranged hour, gathering in central Yerevan at Nalbandyan Street, number 96. Here, you will board a minibus that will transport us to the Tavush region of Armenia.
As we travel, we will pause for an hour at Sevan, renowned for its monastery established in 874, where the stunning churches of this medieval complex will leave you in awe.
Afterward, we’ll return to our transport for a scenic 40-minute drive to the delightful town of Dilijan. This is your opportunity to enjoy a meal at a local eatery. We will then proceed to the Goshavank Monastery, initiated by Mkhitar Gosh, a notable scholar and medieval storyteller. Here, we will delve into the intricate history of this architectural site, which features both sacred and secular structures.
Our final destination will be the Haghartsin Monastery, beautifully situated amidst the verdant Tavush forests. Over the course of more than an hour, we will explore this ensemble of churches and additional edifices, originating from the 10th and 11th centuries. You'll surely be captivated by the serene ambiance of this remarkable location!
Concluding this enriching 9 to 10-hour excursion, we will return to Yerevan, where we will part ways at our initial meeting point.
