Etchmiadzin, Khor Virap & Zvartnots Excursion

At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Yerevan to tour Armenia's natural landscapes. Our first destination will be Khor Virap, located an hour from the capital, known for its monastery and views of Mount Ararat. The name Khor Virap means deep dungeon, and we will share many interesting details on the tour.

Next, we will visit Etchmiadzin, home to the cathedral that serves as the seat of the Armenian Apostolic Church, dating back to the 4th century.

We will then proceed to Zvartnots Cathedral, an ancient circular sanctuary built in the 7th century, offering stunning views of the surroundings.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Yerevan, completing a tour lasting 4 to 5 hours.

Optional wine-tasting and cooking class

For an extended experience, you can partake in a wine-tasting and cooking class for an additional fee on the day of the excursion. The wine tasting will take place in the village of Taperakan with a guided tour of a traditional winery and wine sampling. The cooking class will be held at a restaurant in Echmiadzin, where participants will learn to prepare Armenian dishes and enjoy their creations. If you choose these options, the total duration will be approximately six to seven hours.
