Hiking in the Westfjords
After meeting at 10 am at 22 Aðalstræti in Isafjordur, we will board a bus and head west. A 15-minute drive will take us to the Seljalandsdalur valley.
We will embark on an hour-long hiking trail to the base of the Þjófatindar peaks. From there, we will continue our trek to the mountain pass at the top, where we will enjoy panoramic views of the Westfjords.
After a rest, we will return to the steep hiking trail heading towards Hnifsdalur, a small village known as "Knife Valley". We will explain the reason behind this name during the trek.
In Hnifsdalur, the bus will be waiting to drive us back to Isafjordur, where we will arrive around 2 pm.
