Isafjordur Fjord Whale Watching

Are you a wildlife fanatic? If so, this whale-watching tour in Isafjordur, Iceland could be the perfect day out for you. Spot whales and other wildlife over 2.5 hours on the waters of an Icelandic fjord.

Meet us at the scheduled time at Borea Adventures Gear Storage in Isafjordur. From here, we'll depart on a fully-fitted boat called Síf and make our way out onto the Isafjordur fjord.

As we sail along the tranquil waters of this fjord, we'll look for the blows of whales. Our expert captain will attempt to take us as close as possible to the whales without disturbing them. Potential sightings include humpback whales and minke whales, which may display their tails before diving. Occasionally, killer whales (orcas) may also pass through the area.

Additional wildlife that we might see includes dolphins and porpoises. We will also observe the puffin, which nests on Aedey and Vigur. Throughout this experience, the boat's crew will share information about the local flora and fauna.

These outings are also used for research purposes. We encourage you to take photos of the whales' flukes for identification. After 2.5 hours on the Síf boat, we'll conclude this experience on the Isafjordur fjord.
