Isafjordur Fjord Whale Watching

Are you a wildlife fanatic? If so, this whale-watching tour in Isafjordur, Iceland could be the perfect day out for you. Spot whales and other wildlife over 2.5 hours on the waters of an Icelandic fjord.

Description

Meet us at the scheduled time at Borea Adventures Gear Storage in Isafjordur. From here, we'll depart on a fully-fitted boat, Síf, and navigate the Isafjordur fjord.

As we sail on the icy waters, we will look for the blows of whales in the distance. Our expert captain will approach the whales without disturbing them. We may see humpback whales, minke whales, and possibly killer whales (orcas) during our journey.

In addition to the whales, sightings may include dolphins, porpoises, and the iconic puffin, which nests on the islands of Aedey and Vigur. Throughout the outing, the crew will share information about the local flora and fauna.

These tours also serve research purposes. Participants are encouraged to take photos of whale flukes for identification. After 2.5 hours on the Síf boat, we will conclude our experience on the Isafjordur fjord.
