Are you a wildlife fanatic? If so, this whale-watching tour in Isafjordur, Iceland could be the perfect day out for you. Spot whales and other wildlife over 2.5 hours on the waters of an Icelandic fjord.

Description

Meet us at the scheduled time at Borea Adventures Gear Storage in Isafjordur. We will depart on a fully-fitted boat called Síf and head onto the Isafjordur fjord.

As we sail, we will search for the blows of whales. Our expert captain will try to approach the whales without disturbing them. We may see humpback whales and minke whales. If luck allows, we might spot the elusive killer whales (orcas). In addition to whales, we could see dolphins and porpoises, as well as puffins nesting on Aedey and Vigur. The crew will share facts about the local flora and fauna.

Apart from sightseeing, the outings are also for research purposes, encouraging you to take photos of the whale's tails for identification.

After between 1.5 and 3.5 hours on the boat, we will conclude this experience on the Isafjordur fjord.

Whale Watching

Animals are unpredictable. The number of whales spotted will depend on various factors such as sea currents, winds, and weather conditions. The duration of the tour may vary based on these conditions and the time needed to locate the whales, always respecting their natural space.
