Private Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and head into the center of Yogyakarta to visit its most important site: the Sultan's Palace, home to almost 30,000 inhabitants. We'll walk through the streets and encounter the iconic Water Castle.

Afterward, we'll leave Yogyakarta to reach Kotagede. Following a pleasant half-hour drive, we'll arrive at the ancient Javanese village and explore its picturesque streets on a becak.

This rickshaw will take us around the market. We will also visit a batik and silver factory, the magnificent Royal Cemetery, and the ancient Mosque, heritage of the Kingdom of Mataram Islam, learning about Kotagede's past as its capital.

We'll visit the home of a Javanese family and enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional home-made dishes. Finally, we'll return to Yogyakarta and accompany you to your accommodation, concluding our adventure at 4 pm.
