Private Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and proceed to the center of Yogyakarta to visit the Sultan's Palace, which houses almost 30,000 inhabitants. We'll stroll through the streets and encounter the Water Castle.

After visiting Yogyakarta, we will drive for half an hour to our destination: Kotagede. Upon arrival at the ancient Javanese village, we'll explore the picturesque streets in a traditional becak.

This rickshaw will take us around the market. We will visit a batik and silver factory, and also the magnificent Royal Cemetery and the ancient Mosque, both significant to the Kingdom of Mataram Islam, the former capital of this kingdom.

We'll visit the home of a Javanese family to enjoy a traditional lunch of home-made dishes. Finally, we'll return to Yogyakarta and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding our adventure at 4 pm.
