Experience history as you explore the house and gardens, or just the gardens, as preferred. Inside the 300-year-old Palladian house, access several rooms and grand halls.

The gardens feature a unique parkland setting with common trees such as oak and chestnut. Highlights include the Temple of the Four Winds and the Mausoleum. Additionally, access the Skelfe Adventure Playground, shops, and cafés. A visit typically lasts between 3 and 4 hours.

Opening Times

Castle Howard is open every day of the week from 10 am to 5 pm, with last entry at 3 pm. Note that it will not be open on the following days in 2024: July 19, 20 & 21 and October 5.
