The York hop-on hop-off bus features 20 stops at key landmarks in the city. An audio guide in English is provided, with a complete circuit taking approximately one hour.
Notable stops include Clifford’s Tower, Gillygate, South Bank, and Museum Gardens.
How does it work?
Your ticket remains valid for 24 consecutive hours once activated. For instance, if used on a Monday at 3 pm, it remains valid until Tuesday at 3 pm. During this period, you can board the bus as often as you like, facilitating exploration of attractions such as the remains of York Castle from Clifford Tower, York Minster, the botanical gardens, and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
Important
When booking, specify the desired activation date. You have 12 months from that date to use it. After reservation, an email with a voucher will be sent, which must be presented the first time you board the bus.
Schedule and Frequency
The York sightseeing bus operates as follows:
November 3 to December 31 and January 2 to March 27: 9:45 am to 4:15 pm, frequency every 30 minutes.March 28 to April 12 and July 18 to September 5: 9:23 am to 5:08 pm, frequency every 15 minutes.April 13 to July 17 and September 6 to November 1: 9:28 am to 4:28 pm, frequency every 20 minutes.
