York Tourist Bus
The bus offers a hop-on hop-off service with 20 stops at key attractions in York. An audio guide in English is available throughout the journey, which lasts approximately one hour without stops.
Notable stops include Clifford’s Tower, Gillygate, South Bank, and Museum Gardens.
How does it work?
Your ticket remains valid for 24 consecutive hours from activation, allowing unlimited access during this timeframe. Key attractions along the route include York Castle, York Minster, Museum Gardens, and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
Important
Indicate your desired activation date when booking; you can use the ticket within 12 months of that date. An email voucher will be sent, which must be presented upon your first bus ride.
Timetable & frequency
The sightseeing bus runs every 30 minutes daily from 9 am to 5:30 pm, with reduced hours from 10 am to 2:30 pm in November and December. The total journey time is 1 hour, and the last three buses of the day stop at Clifford Tower.
