On this excursion through Yorkshire Dales National Park, we'll explore landscapes that inspired renowned English writers.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Duncombe Place in York to board our minibus for the journey to Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Our first stop will be the village of Masham, where we'll walk through its historic narrow streets and view the Anglo-Saxon cross, dating back over 1300 years.

We will continue our journey, enjoying the lush green meadows before arriving at Grassington—the fictional village of Darrowby in 'All Creatures Great and Small.'

You will have an hour of free time in Grassington to explore or dine at a local café. Afterward, we'll visit the nearby Linton Falls, known for its enchanting waterfalls.

We will return to the minibus and travel along the River Wharfe, passing through the village of Burnsall and visiting the historic ruins of Barden Tower.

Our next stop will be Bolton Abbey, a 12th-century abbey with the ruins of the Augustinian Priory of Bolton. You will learn about the history of this site while walking its grounds.

Finally, we will start our journey back to the meeting point, concluding the trip after 8 hours together.
