Description
Our adventure begins as we gather at Duncombe Place in York at the designated time, where we will board our minibus for the scenic drive to Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our first destination is the quaint village of Masham. Here, you will wander along the historic narrow lanes and witness the remnants of the Anglo-Saxon cross, a remarkable artifact dating back over 1300 years!
As we continue, immerse yourself in the panorama of lush green meadows that define this beautiful area, before reaching Grassington, known as the fictional Darrowby from the beloved English series 'All Creatures Great and Small'.
You will have an hour of leisure in Grassington, allowing time to further explore the charming streets or enjoy a meal at a local café. After departing from this delightful village, we will make our way to the nearby Linton Falls, where the stunning cascades promise to enchant you.
After soaking in the beauty of the waterfalls, we will board the minibus again and travel alongside the River Wharfe. On our route, we will pass through the historic village of Burnsall, where we will explore the remains of the Barden Tower.
Next, we will arrive at Bolton Abbey, home to the ruins of a 12th-century Augustinian Priory. As you stroll through its scenic grounds, you’ll discover the intriguing history of this Yorkshire treasure.
At the conclusion of our exploration, we will head back to our starting point, wrapping up this day of discovery after an enriching 8 hours together.
