Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Whitehorse to begin this tour of one of the most fascinating places in the Yukon region in the northeast of Canada.

Our first stop will be at Emerald Lake, known for its famous green colour. We will learn about the reasons behind its colors while strolling along its banks and enjoy a snack and a drink.

Next, we'll head to the Carcross Desert, the smallest desert in the world, to explore its sand dunes. This unique geographical feature in one of Canada's most northern points will be explained during the tour.

Adjacent to the desert is the Caribou Crossing Wildlife Museum, where we will see taxidermy animals and learn about Yukon's native wildlife, including recreations of prehistoric species such as the woolly mammoth.

After the museum visit, our tour will proceed to the town of Carcross, where we will learn about the gold rush from the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th century, featuring remarkable stories of adventurers searching for gold.

Finally, we will return to the hotels in Whitehorse, concluding this 5.5-hour tour.
