On this tour from Whitehorse, we will travel to Alaska, visiting the city of Skagway and exploring the beautiful Northwest of North America.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Whitehorse at the scheduled time. The tour will head south to the stunning area of the Yukon region.
The first stop will be at Emerald Lake, a glacial lake where we will explore the shores and enjoy a light snack and drink in the serene environment.
Next, we will visit the Carcross Desert, the smallest in the world. The tour will explain the presence of sand dunes in this northern part of Canada.
After learning about the desert, we will continue to the city of Carcross and head south to the border. Leaving Canada, we will take in the views of the White Pass mountain pass as we enter Alaska.
In Skagway, a historic port town known for its wooden houses from the gold rush era, we will discuss its history as a destination for adventurers seeking fortune. Following this, you will have an hour to eat in Skagway before returning to your hotel in Whitehorse, concluding approximately 9 hours after departure. See you again soon!
