At the indicated time, we will meet at Schiena dell’Asino car park to start this hiking tour around the landscapes of Etna and The Valle del Bove. We will climb up to 1,970 meters (6,460 feet) above sea level following the Schiena dell’Asino path, one of the easiest routes in the Etna Natural Park. You will learn about the meaning of this path's name and more.

During the climb, we will discuss the volcanic lands in eastern Sicily and their hidden caves. At the highest point of the crater, we will admire the Valle del Bove, characterized by volcanic ash. The views are spectacular.

After taking in the views, we will begin our descent. Along the way, we will see a huge black sand canal and Pythagoras Cave, a tunnel formed by a lava river.

We will conclude this hiking route at the starting point after a total duration of 3-4 hours.
