Discover Zagreb's darker side and tour the places that were the setting for the recent Croatian war. See the consequences of the conflict and the regeneration of the Croatian capital.

Tour Highlights

The tour meets at the indicated time in Ban Jela?i? square, from where we will begin our tour of the scene of the Croatian War of Independence, which took place between 1991 and 1995, marking the end of the former Yugoslavia.

For a little over two hours, we will tour the streets of Zagreb, exploring the devastating consequences of the war on the civil population. We will see locations worst affected by bombardments and discover new buildings that replaced schools, hospitals, and houses.

We will explore the underground tunnels from the Second World War and experience Croatia in the mid-20th century. We will learn about their historical use as we tour the dark galleries they form today.

Then, after several hours of learning about the Croatian War of Independence and its impact on Zagreb, our tour will conclude.
