Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel on the island of Zanzibar and head to the port of Forodhani, where a boat is waiting. We'll board and travel to Prison Island.
After approximately 20 minutes sailing through the Indian Ocean, we will arrive at Changuu Island, known for its historical role as a prison for slaves and a quarantine center for yellow fever patients.
The island features a sanctuary of giant tortoises, imported from the Seychelles in the late 19th century. Guests will then return to the boat and proceed to Nakupenda Beach, where there will be about 2 hours of free time to relax or swim in the turquoise waters.
After this period of leisure, a beach lunch will be served, which includes grilled fish and seafood, vegetables, fruits, and soft drinks.
After lunch, we will return to the departure pier, and then back to your hotel, concluding this 8-hour activity.
