Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel on the island of Zanzibar and proceed to the port of Forodhani, where a boat will be waiting. We'll board the boat and head towards Prison Island.

After about 20 minutes sailing through the waters of the Indian Ocean, we will arrive at this enclave, known locally as Changuu Island, which functioned as a prison for slaves and as a quarantine center for yellow fever patients.

The island is home to a sanctuary of giant tortoises, imported from the Seychelles in the 19th century. We'll then return to the boat and head to Nakupenda Beach, where you'll have about 2 hours of free time to relax or swim in the turquoise waters.

After this free time, we'll enjoy a beach lunch with grilled fish and seafood, vegetables, fruits, and soft drinks.

Following lunch, we'll return to the departure pier and then take you back to your hotel, concluding this 8-hour activity.
