Tour Details
The tour begins at the Goya monument in Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. We will appreciate La Lonja, a building showcasing Aragonese Renaissance architecture from the 16th century, and admire the Ebro River.
Next, we visit the Museum of the Roman Forum in Plaza de la Seo, featuring Roman remains from Caesaraugusta. This area includes La Seo Cathedral (Catedral de San Salvador) and the Wall of the Parroquieta, a World Heritage Site.
Participants will walk through the historic center, discovering corners like Casa del Deán. The tour continues to the Roman Theatre, then to El Tubo, Zaragoza's tapas area. Recommendations for tapas will be provided. The route includes crossing Calle Alfonso I and entering the 19th-century passage of the "Ciclón."
We will arrive at the Plaza del Pilar, one of Europe’s largest pedestrian squares, seeing the Town Hall, Fountain of Hispanidad, and the Cathedral-Basilica of Nuestra Señora. Further sights include the Church of San Juan de los Panetes, Roman walls, monument to Caesar Augustus, and the Central Market. Zaragoza is known as the 'City of the Four Cultures', with the Torreón de la Zuda reflecting its Muslim heritage. The tour concludes in Plaza de San Felipe, along with recommendations for more exploration.
