Travel back in time to discover the rich history of Zaragoza, Roman Caesaraugusta to the present day. We'll enjoy a day of culture, cuisine, and fun facts on this free walking tour of Zaragoza.

Tour Details

We'll start our free tour of Zaragoza at the Goya monument within Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. We'll appreciate La Lonja, a city building with Aragonese Renaissance-style architecture built in the 16th century. From here, we'll admire the beautiful Ebro River.

Next, we'll head to the Museum of the Roman Forum, located in the Plaza de la Seo, where we'll find Roman remains of what was the centre of Caesaraugusta. We'll also see one of the two Cathedrals in Zaragoza, La Seo, and the Wall of the Parroquieta, declared a World Heritage Site.

We'll wander through the narrow streets of its historic centre to discover picturesque corners, such as Casa del Deán. Our next stop will be the Roman Theatre. From here, we'll make our way to El Tubo, the city's tapas area, where we will provide recommendations for tasty tapas. Then we'll continue our tour to one of the highlights as we cross Calle Alfonso I and enter the passage of the "Ciclón," preserved since the 19th century.

Welcome to the Plaza del Pilar, one of the largest pedestrian squares in Europe! Here we'll see the Town Hall, the Fountain of Hispanidad, and the monumental Cathedral-Basilica of Nuestra Señora.

We'll also view the Church of San Juan de los Panetes, the Roman walls, the monument to Caesar Augustus, and the great Central Market. Zaragoza is nicknamed the 'City of the Four Cultures.' The Torreón de la Zuda is a testament to the Muslim legacy in the city. We'll conclude our free tour in the Plaza de San Felipe, offering top recommendations and must-see places in this city.

Temporary Meeting Point

From September 27 to October 13, due to the festivities of the Pilar, the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar will be closed. During this time, the meeting point will be the Caballito de la Lonja statue.
