Description

This journey starts at Zermatt Railway Station. Exchange your voucher at one of the station's ticket offices or machines. The Gornergrat ascends to 3,100 metres (10,170 feet), traversing bridges, tunnels, lakes, and forests. You will witness the Matterhorn, the Gorner Glacier, Mount Liksamm, the twin summits of Castor and Pollux, and the Monte Rosa massif.

Upon reaching The Gornergrat's peak, you can explore at your leisure, take photos, hike, or visit the Gornergrat Hotel terrace viewpoint.

Return times are flexible; head back to Zermatt at your convenience on the same day. Please refer to the train's schedule.

Schedule

The first Gornergrat train departs from Zermatt Station at 7 am. Subsequent departures occur every 24 to 48 minutes. The last train from Gornergrat to Zermatt is at 7:22 pm from July to August and at 5:52 pm from September to June.
