Montebello Lakes & El Chiflón Waterfalls Tour

Picked up from your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas at 8 am, you will head to the Lagunas de Montebello National Park. After a two and a half hour drive, you will arrive at the El Chiflón Waterfalls, near the Sumidero Canyon.

At the El Chiflón Ecotourism Center, you will climb the 800 steps to the top of the waterfall for scenic views. You will also walk through the jungle for about a mile, stopping at waterfalls such as El Suspiro (80 feet), Ala de Angel (over 98 feet), and Velo de Novia (over 400 feet). The turquoise waters are notable.

The tour continues with a one and a half hour walk around Montebello Lagoons, where you will find several lagoons in various colors and shades, from turquoise to black.

After a day exploring this natural environment in Mexico, you will return to downtown San Cristóbal de las Casas at 8 pm.
