Rancho Nuevo Caves & El Arcotete (5 Hours)
The journey begins at El Arcotete, a remarkable rock formation featuring caves within its arch. Its towering walls reach heights of 40 meters (131 ft) and showcase stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations.
Next, we’ll explore the Rancho Nuevo Caves, navigating through passages that stretch approximately 700 meters (2,297 ft) deep. For those eager for excitement, optional activities such as horseback riding or zip lining are available (not included). We conclude the tour back in San Cristóbal.

Amatenango del Valle Community (6 Hours)
This day trip takes you to the Amatenango del Valle Community, renowned for its traditional pottery.
Participate in a pottery workshop, where you will gain insight into the entire crafting process and create your own piece under the skilled supervision of local artisans. The clay is shaped by hand, enhancing the authenticity of your creation, which is then fired in open-air kilns. Afterward, enjoy a meal in the nearby town of Teopisca before heading back to San Cristóbal.

Sumidero Canyon & Chiapa de Corzo (8.5 Hours)
Kick off the day by visiting the viewpoints of Sumidero Canyon, like "Los Chiapas," which soar nearly 1,000 meters (3,281 ft) high. After this, you will board a boat for a cruise along the Grijalva River, where you can admire sites such as the Chicoasén Dam, the Virgin’s Cave, and the impressive Christmas Tree waterfall.
Later, we will explore the Magical Town of Chiapa de Corzo, where you'll have leisure time to wander through the historic center and shop for local crafts before we make our way back to San Cristóbal.

Tenam Puente & Comitán de Domínguez (10 Hours)
Our journey takes us to the Tenam Puente Archaeological Site, an ancient Maya ceremonial center encircled by hills, where visitors can explore its plazas, temples, and renowned ball courts.
Our next stop will be the Magical Town of Comitán de Domínguez, where you'll find free time to experience the unique local cuisine, such as the iconic caldo de pan (bread soup) and tamales. The day culminates with a guided tour of the historic center, featuring landmarks like La Pila Central Park, famous for its octagonal Mudejar-style fountain.

Montebello Lakes & El Chiflón Waterfalls (10.5 Hours)
We will head to the El Chiflón waterfalls, a stunning sequence of cascades created by the San Vicente River. You'll have the opportunity to walk along the path and enjoy views of waterfalls like El Suspiro, Ala de Ángel, Arco Iris, Quinceañera, and the majestic Velo de Novia, which measures 120 meters (394 ft) high.
Subsequently, we’ll make our way to the Montebello Lakes National Park, visiting Tziscao and the International Lake, positioned on the Guatemala border, with time for exploration in the local village. We will wrap up the tour by returning to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.

Agua Azul, Misol-Há & the Palenque Archaeological Site (18 Hours)
Our day begins early as we head towards the Palenque region, with a stop for breakfast in Ocosingo. We will then proceed to the Agua Azul Waterfalls, a breathtaking natural wonder formed by the confluence of the Otulún, Shumuljá, and Tulijá rivers, known for their striking turquoise waters.
Following this, we will visit the Misol-Há waterfall, a notable cascade that drops 40 meters (131 ft) amidst lush tropical vegetation. Lastly, we will explore the Palenque Archaeological Site, where you can delve into Mayan history through its temples and structure. A lunch break will occur before we return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
