Bern Day Trip

On our Bern Day Trip from Zürich, we will visit the Swiss capital's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about Emmental cheese.

Bern Day Trip

At 8:30 am, we will depart from the Sihlquai bus station parking lot in Zürich to the Entlebuch Valley, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Upon arrival, you will receive a bag to fill with Swiss products throughout the day.

We will cross the Emmental Valley and head to the Kambly Experience. Here, we will learn about biscuit production and enjoy a tasting. Following this, we will proceed to the city of Bern.

In Bern, we will take a walking tour of the historic centre. We will see iconic monuments, including the Berner Münster Cathedral, the Swiss Parliament, and the Zytglogge, known for its large astronomical clock.

You will have approximately 1 hour of free time for lunch and shopping. In the afternoon, we will visit a typical Bernese farmhouse, observe Swiss cows, and tour an Emmental cheese dairy. Additionally, we will take an interactive tour called 'King's Way' before making a brief stop for photos of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau alpine mountains.

We will conclude our day trip with a return to Zürich, arriving at the starting point by 7 pm.
