Discover the fascinating alpine landscapes of central Switzerland with this trip to Lucerne and Engelberg from Zurich, one of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland!
Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet up at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot in Zurich, followed by a drive through the beautiful alpine landscapes of central Switzerland. The journey includes a scenic route, where the bus guide will share anecdotes and facts about the area. After a brief stop for photos of the alpine scenery, we will arrive in Lucerne. Here, you will have approximately one hour of free time, depending on traffic conditions.
We recommend exploring the historic center of Lucerne, with highlights including the Jesuit church and the Chapel Bridge, the oldest wooden footbridge in Europe. Across the river is the town hall, another notable sight.
Next, we travel to Engelberg, situated at the foot of Mount Titlis. You will have three hours of free time for lunch and sightseeing, with a notable focus on the large Benedictine monastery, which houses Switzerland's largest organ and cheese-making machinery.
Our return to Zurich is scheduled for 7 pm, with more insights shared by the bus guide during the trip back.
