Details of the Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll gather at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot. From this central point in Zurich, we will embark on a journey through the stunning alpine vistas of central Switzerland.

As we travel, a scenic route will guide us while the bus host shares charming anecdotes and insights about this fairytale-like area. Once we reach the lovely city by the shores of Vierwaldstättersee, known as Lake Lucerne, you'll have around 1 hour of leisure time, contingent on traffic.

We suggest wandering through the historic district of Lucerne. Be sure to visit the exquisite Jesuit church and the famous Chapel Bridge, Europe’s oldest wooden footbridge crossing the River Reuss since the 14th century. Don't miss the town hall located on the opposite bank, another prominent landmark.

Next, we will head towards Engelberg. This charming town lies beneath the magnificent Mount Titlis and offers three hours of free time for lunch and exploration of its key attractions. A highlight is the impressive Benedictine monastery, renowned for housing Switzerland's largest organ. Within the monastery, you can also observe the cheese-making facilities, featuring one of the regional specialties.

Our journey will conclude as we return to Zurich, arriving around 7 pm. Along the way back, our bus guide will share fascinating insights about the captivating central Switzerland.
