Lucerne & Mount Rigi Day Trip
At 9:30 am, we'll meet at Sihlquai Bus Station. We'll take a comfortable bus to the town of Weggis, enjoying views of Lake Lucerne.
From the lake, you'll see Mount Rigi, an Alpine massif at 5,900 feet (1,800 meters). You'll have 4 hours of free time and cable car and rack railway tickets to reach the summit. The railway began operating in 1871.
Atop Mount Rigi, enjoy views of Central Switzerland's lakes and visit mountain restaurants.
We will descend via a rack railway to Vitznau, where you'll board a boat for a 4-hour ride on Lake Lucerne, taking in views of the surrounding Alpine mountains.
The boat trip concludes in Lucerne, offering free time to explore the historic center and admire monuments like the Baroque Jesuit church, Town Hall, and the Chapel Bridge, dating back to the 14th century.
We will return by bus, arriving back at 7 pm.
