Rhine Falls Half-Day Trip
At the scheduled time, you'll leave Zurich and head into the natural landscapes of northern Switzerland.
After a 40 minute drive through vineyards and villages, you'll make your first stop at Laufen Castle, a Medieval fortress with views of the Rhine Falls. At 150 metres (490 ft) wide and 23 metres (75 ft) high, the Rheinfall is Europe's biggest waterfall and a major tourist attraction.
You'll have around an hour of free time to explore the Rhine Falls and enjoy activities available. We'll get as close as possible to these falls while discussing their formation.
After your visit, the return journey to Zurich will take you through the charming town of Schaffhausen, where you can admire the 16th century Munot Fortress. You'll then drive through Germany briefly before arriving back in Zurich.
Waterfalls Cruise
In the summer, you can take an optional boat trip through the Rhine Falls. The ticket price for this trip is CHF10 for adults, CHF5 for children aged 6 to 15 years, and free for children under 6. Note that the boat entrance is not accessible for baby prams or individuals with reduced mobility.
