Tour Details
We'll meet at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot and head to northern Switzerland. Our first stop will be Laufen Castle, where we'll tour the Historama exhibition and enjoy views of the Rhine Falls. You will have approximately one hour free to admire the falls, convertible via the castle's panoramic lift or by walking the Belvedere path to a viewing platform above the falls. An optional boat trip is available at your own expense, from April to October only.
After the waterfalls, we'll pass through the town of Schaffhausen to see the exterior of Munot Fortress before proceeding to the medieval village of Stein am Rhein.
In Stein am Rhein, we'll take a walking tour of the old town to view frescoes and visit the House of the White Eagle, featuring the main Renaissance mural painting in Switzerland. After the guided tour, you'll have free time to explore the village before reconvening to return to Zurich, concluding this 5-hour and 15-minute tour.
