If you like birds, you can't miss this birdwatching trip at the San Rafael ranch. We'll take a hiking route to observe different birds of the Argentinian province of Chaco.
Birdwatching at the San Rafael Estate
We'll start this activity by meeting at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael, a private nature reserve located in the outskirts of Resistencia.
We'll embark on a low-difficulty hiking route lasting two hours, covering between 3 and 8 kilometres (2 and 5 miles), depending on the group and the weather conditions. During the walk we will spot various endemic birds, including toucans, cardinals, and red-footed chuñas. We will learn to distinguish species by their beaks and plumage.
If conditions permit, we might see different hawks and aquatic birds like the ipequí and the sirirí duck. The local ecosystem supports a diverse avifauna.
We will conclude the hike by returning to the starting point, arriving at 11:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
You can choose to book hotel pickup in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. We will start birdwatching at 9:30 am upon arrival at the estate.
After the experience, we will return to your hotel in Resistencia, arriving at 12:30 pm.
