If you like birds, you can't miss this birdwatching trip at the San Rafael ranch. We'll take a hiking route to observe different birds of the Argentinian province of Chaco.
Birdwatching at the San Rafael Estate
We'll start this activity by meeting at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael, a private nature reserve in the outskirts of Resistencia.
In this protected area, we'll embark on a low-difficulty hiking route lasting two hours. We will cover a distance of between 3 and 8 kilometres (2 and 5 miles), depending on the group and weather conditions.
During the walk, we'll spot various endemic birds such as toucans, cardinals, and red-footed chuñas. We will learn to distinguish these species by examining their beaks and plumage.
If conditions are favorable, we may also see different hawks and various aquatic birds like the ipequí and sirirí duck. The local ecosystem supports a diverse array of wildlife.
We'll conclude the hiking route by returning to the starting point, arriving at 11:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
You can also book a pickup option at your hotel in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. We will start birdwatching at 9:30 am. After the experience, we will return to your hotel, arriving at 12:30 pm.
