If you like birds, you can't miss this birdwatching trip at the San Rafael ranch. We'll take a hiking route to observe different birds of the Argentinian province of Chaco.
Birdwatching at the San Rafael Estate
We'll start this activity by meeting at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael, a private nature reserve on the outskirts of Resistencia.
In this protected area, we'll embark on a low-difficulty hiking route lasting two hours, covering between 3 and 8 kilometres (2 and 5 miles), depending on the group and weather.
During the walk, we'll spot various endemic birds such as toucans, cardinals, and red-footed chuñas. We will learn to distinguish different species by their beaks and plumage.
If conditions are favorable, we might also see hawks and aquatic birds like ipequí and sirirí ducks. The local ecosystem provides ideal conditions for these species.
We'll conclude the hiking route by returning to the starting point, arriving at 11:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
You can book a hotel pickup in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. After arriving at the estate, we will begin birdwatching at 9:30 am.
We will return to your hotel in Resistencia, arriving at 12:30 pm.
