Come and join us for a cooking workshop to learn how to prepare traditional Galician dishes. You'll also be able to join us in buying things at the market and exploring the culinary delights of La Coruña.
Galician Cooking Workshop + Market Shopping
When booking, you can choose between three options. Each starts at Rúa Alfredo Vicenti in La Coruña and offers the opportunity to learn about Galician gastronomy. Below are the three options:
Tapas Workshop (1.5 hours)
We'll meet at the indicated time for an introduction to the menu before we start cooking. Following the chef's instructions, we'll use fresh Galician products to create tapas, such as chicharrones toast with local cheese, prawn salpicón, mussels cooked in Godello wine, raxo a la gallega with patatas bravas, and Santiago cake. After preparation, we'll taste our creations.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday at 2:30 pm
Cooking Workshop (2 hours)
In this cooking class, we’ll prepare traditional Galician dishes while discussing the culinary customs of the region. The chef will share secrets of ancestral preparations, including mussels, paella with squid and cockles, volandeiras with ham, and Santiago cake. After cooking, we'll enjoy the dishes together.
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday at 11:30 am
Cooking Workshop + Market Shopping (3 hours)
This option includes a visit to the market in Lugo Square, where we will explore various stalls offering seafood, meat, sausages, fruits, and vegetables. After shopping, we will return to the kitchen to prepare traditional Galician recipes and enjoy the meal together.
