Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Marktplatz, the heart of Aachen. From there, we'll start this free tour and discover the most important monuments of the city of Charlemagne.
We'll stop in front of the Town Hall, a Gothic style building built between 1353 and 1414 on the ruins of a palace, serving as a key political and social meeting place.
Next, we'll visit the Aachen Cathedral, an architectural marvel constructed from 787, recognized as the first World Heritage Site in Germany and the oldest cathedral in Northern Europe.
We will also admire various fountains of Aachen, including the 18th-century Elissenbrunnen and the Puppenbrunnen, known for its bronze puppets.
We'll view the Klenkes sculpture, representing a gesture that symbolizes unity among the inhabitants of Aachen by raising the little finger of the right hand.
Finally, we will visit the Money Fountain and conclude our tour after 1 hour and 45 minutes of sightseeing in Aachen.
