Built in 1795, Qasr Al Hosn Fort symbolizes Abu Dhabi as the oldest building in the Emirati city. It has served the ruling family, the seat of government, and the national archive throughout its over 200 years of history. With this ticket, you can access the complex, including the 18th-century fortress and the 1930s palace annex. The ticket also provides access to the museum, where you can learn about the building's history, including its role in maritime trade route safety.
As you explore, you'll discover how Abu Dhabi transformed from a small settlement reliant on fishing and pearl farming to a sprawling metropolis. Additionally, this ticket grants access to the craftsmen's house, showcasing traditional Emirati handicrafts.
Opening hours
Qasr Al Hosn is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm, except Fridays when it opens from 2 pm to 8 pm. Note that during the Al Hosn festival celebrations, from January 30 to February 4, 2025, Qasr Al Hosn will be open from 4 pm to 11 pm (with final admission at 10:30 pm).
