Coyuca Lagoon Sea Turtle Release

At the scheduled time, pick-up will be from your hotel in Acapulco, with a journey of 1 hour to Coyuca Lagoon, a picturesque destination for a sea turtle release.

Upon arrival, a boat trip will allow us to explore part of this 10.5 mile (17 kilometre) lake. During the ride, we will observe the lush vegetation and views of the Sierra Madre. Wildlife such as pelicans, avocets, and herons may be seen in the mangroves. This location is recognizable from films like Tarzan and Robinson Crusoe.

Next, we will disembark at the beach and visit the sea turtle protection centre to learn about threats to baby turtles from pollution and fishing. Participants will release baby Olive Ridley sea turtles into the sea, promoting their chance of survival.

The tour will conclude with a lunch featuring a choice of fish, chicken Milanese, or shrimp, accompanied by soup, whiting, salad, and a drink.

After lunch, return to your hotel in Acapulco is expected after a duration of 6.5 hours.
