Taxco Day Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7 am and head to Taxco de Alarcón, the silver capital of the world! Prepare to explore this beautiful city, the silver el dorado!
After three and a half hours, we will arrive in Taxco. The first stop will be local silver workshops where we will learn about the mining industry and its significance in the area. We will gain insights into the craftsmanship involving zinc, copper, and silver.
Next, we will visit the church of Santa Prisca, a Spanish-Baroque style basilica known for its detailed ornamentation and altarpiece representing the Souls of Purgatory, reflecting the region's craftsmanship and mining history.
After the visit, we will explore the Zócalo, or Plaza Borda. You will have two hours of free time to discover colonial streets and temples such as San Bernardino de Siena, San Miguel Arcángel, or San Nicolás. Local cuisine can also be enjoyed at nearby restaurants.
We will then return you to your hotel in Acapulco, arriving at approximately 7 pm.
