Taxco Day Trip

Taxco is a Mexican city famous for its silver workshops. On this day trip you'll discover the colonial architecture of the "City of Light" and the stunning church of Santa Prisca.

Taxco Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel at 7 am and make our way to Taxco de Alarcón, the silver capital of the world! The journey takes three and a half hours. Once there, we will visit the local silver workshops to learn about the mining industry and its history in the area, as well as the skills of local craftsmen using zinc, copper, and silver.

The tour will then proceed to the church of Santa Prisca, an ornate Spanish-Baroque style basilica known for its detailed ornamentation, altarpiece representing the Souls of Purgatory, and delicate ribbed vault, reflecting the region's craftsmanship and mining history.

After the visit, we will enjoy the atmosphere of the Zócalo, or Plaza Borda, where you will have two hours of free time to explore its colonial streets and discover temples such as San Bernardino de Siena, San Miguel Arcángel, or San Nicolás. You may also try local cuisine at one of the restaurants.

We will return you to your hotel in Acapulco, arriving at around 7 pm.
