Taxco is a Mexican city famous for its silver workshops. On this day trip, you will discover the colonial architecture of the "City of Light" and the stunning church of Santa Prisca.

Taxco Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel at 7 am and make our way to Taxco de Alarcón, the silver capital of the world. The journey will take three and a half hours. Upon arrival, we will visit the local silver workshops to understand the significance of the mining industry and its history in the region, as well as the works of skilled local craftsmen using zinc, copper, and silver.

The tour includes a visit to the church of Santa Prisca, a Spanish-Baroque style basilica known for its detailed ornamentation and an altarpiece depicting the Souls of Purgatory. This site reflects the craftsmanship of the region and its mining history.

Afterward, we will explore the ambiance and craft shops at the Zócalo, or Plaza Borda. You will have two hours of free time to discover colonial streets and visit temples like San Bernardino de Siena, San Miguel Arcángel, or San Nicolás. Local cuisine is also available in nearby restaurants.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Acapulco, arriving around 7 pm.
