South Ghana Tour Package: 6 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Accra

Upon landing at Accra airport, we'll be waiting to take you to the centre of the Ghanaian capital. Regardless of whether you arrive in the afternoon or would prefer a hotel pick-up, you can still enjoy a sightseeing tour visiting the most symbolic corners of Accra. You'll explore the University of Ghana and James Town, a historic neighborhood famous for its lighthouses that guide ships from the Gulf of Guinea.

Experience the vibrant atmosphere at the fish market and stroll along Oxford Street, dotted with shops featuring colorful African fabrics. The day concludes with a return to the hotel in Accra, where you can enjoy some free time to rest before the next adventure. If you arrive in the evening, we will take you directly to the hotel.

Day 2: Accra - Ada Foah

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll set off for Independence Square, also called Black Star Square, to admire the Eternal Flame of African Liberation lit in 1961. Our subsequent stop will be the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the resting place of Ghana's first president.

You'll have some time for lunch before we depart from Accra toward Ada Foah, reaching our destination after a two-hour journey along Ghana's coastline. Here, we will explore the villages in the area.

In the afternoon, we'll head to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3: Ada Foah

After breakfast, we will explore Ada Foah. One of the primary attractions is bird watching, where you'll encounter a variety of species, including flamingos, pelicans, white peacocks, and black swans.

After enjoying free time for lunch, we will take a boat tour to visit the mangroves and islands and learn about the gin production process. The day will end with a return to the hotel.

Day 4: Ada Foah - Elmina

On this day, we'll make our way to Elmina, the first European settlement in Western Africa. Upon arrival, you will have free time for lunch before we visit the Cape Coast Castle, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortress is historically significant as the 'door of no return' for millions of enslaved people who passed through its gates.

Later on, we'll check in at the beachfront hotel and visit an animal sanctuary to see horses, donkeys, crocodiles, and others.

Day 5: Elmina

On the fifth day, enjoy the hotel's facilities. After breakfast, you have free time to relax by the pool with views of the Atlantic Ocean or opt for a horse ride along the beach.

Day 6: Elmina - Accra

After breakfast, we will depart the hotel in Elmina and return to Accra. We'll pass through the Kingdom of Denkyira and once in Accra, we will stop at West Hills Mall, where you'll have time for lunch.

Depending on your flight departure time, you may visit the Arts Centre or proceed to Accra airport.
