Tour of Accra
Between 5 and 6 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Accra to start a tour of the main points of interest in the capital of Ghana. We'll tour both by foot and by minibus.
The first stop will be at the National Museum of Ghana, a site to learn about the culture and history of the country. Next, we will visit Independence Square, home to monuments commemorating Ghana's independence struggle.
Afterwards, we'll travel to Jamestown, one of the oldest districts of Accra, to see its 1871 British lighthouse and pre-colonial houses while learning about the slave trade era.
We'll then visit the Makola market for an authentic Accra experience, where you can purchase a typical Ghanaian handicraft.
Next, we'll see the W. E. B. Du Bois memorial, the resting place of this famous pan-Africanist, and the Center for National Culture.
Finally, we'll end the tour and drop you back off at your hotel between 11 am and 12 pm.
