Exploring Accra

Beginning around 5 to 6 am, our team will collect you from your lodging in Accra for an insightful journey through the key attractions of Ghana's capital. We will navigate the city on foot and by minibus to ensure a comprehensive experience!

The day’s adventure kicks off at the National Museum of Ghana, a perfect starting point for connecting with the nation’s culture, history, and heritage. Following this, we will move to Independence Square, which houses numerous monuments that honor Ghana's quest for independence.

Our next destination will be Jamestown, one of the historic neighborhoods in Accra. Here, you will see the iconic British lighthouse from 1871 and appreciate the pre-colonial architecture as you learn about this area during the slave trade period.

Immerse yourself in local culture with a visit to the Makola market. Wander through its diverse stalls, where you may find a chance to acquire a traditional Ghanaian craft!

The tour will then take you to the W. E. B. Du Bois memorial, the final resting place of this notable pan-Africanist, along with the Center for National Culture.

We will conclude our journey by returning you to your hotel between 11 am and 12 pm.
