Catania Scuba Diving

Are you ready to explore the depths? Whether you are just starting or hold a certification, this scuba diving experience in Aci Castello invites you to uncover the mysteries of the Gulf of Catania's waters.

Activity Overview



At your chosen time, we will gather at Via Provinciale 23/25. From there, we will stroll over to the port of Aci Castello, where a boat will be prepared for our adventure. Setting sail across the Ionian Sea, we'll travel to find the prime dive sites.



We will commence our dive by donning all essential technical gear, from fins to the oxygen tank. Regardless of your experience level, we will discuss the function of each equipment item, as well as cover the underwater communication techniques and basic safety protocols.



Then, it's time to dive in! Are you excited to explore the protected marine zone of the Cyclopean Isles? Beginners can descend to depths of 6 metres (19 feet), while certified divers may venture as deep as 18 metres (59 feet).



Our instructor will guide us throughout the underwater journey, where we will glide near the volcanic islets, taking in the stunning marine life surrounding us. Look out for white seabream, blackspot seabream, octopuses, sea sponges, gorgonias, and many other fascinating species.



As we dive along the Aci Castello shoreline, we will encounter spectacular volcanic formations, lava columns, and intriguing geological structures. Furthermore, we will visit various spots in the Gulf of Catania, where remnants of sunken World War II ships await our exploration.



After approximately 4 hours enjoying this adventure, we will conclude by returning to the original port.
