Teide Cable Car + Hike to the Summit

Ready to climb the highest peak in Spain? You'll be picked up at your hotel or agreed meeting point in the morning to start your journey to the Teide National Park.

At the base station of the Teide cable car, you will enjoy a ride up approximately 1000 meters (3280 feet) to 3555 meters (11670 feet) above sea level in about 10 minutes. After reaching the cable car destination, the hike to the summit of the Teide volcano begins.

This intense hike lasts about 40 minutes, leading to the top of the crater where you may experience the scent of sulfur indicative of volcanic activity and, on clear days, view surrounding islands such as Gran Canaria and La Gomera.

After the hike, you will return via the cable car and then to the bus. The excursion lasts approximately 6 hours.

Climbing the Peak

This activity requires a special permit from the national park. After reservation, we will process the permit and confirm it. If you do not receive confirmation within 72 hours, please contact us for status.

Additional Info

Participants with heart issues, pregnant women, and those with reduced mobility cannot use the cable car. Only visitors wearing sports or mountain shoes are allowed; sandals and flat-soled shoes are not permitted.

Pickup Times and Places

Pickup times are generally between 6:45 am and 9:35 am. The exact time will be confirmed days before the tour. When booking, please specify a pickup point in the southern Tenerife towns such as Costa Adeje, Playa San Juan, or Los Cristianos.
