  • 2 Stunden

On this boat cruise, we'll marvel at the iconic Ships' Graveyard and visit the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, the International Bird Sanctuary, and more!

Dolphin Sighting & Ship Graveyard Cruise

At the indicated time, we'll meet at McLaren Wharf in Port Adelaide and begin this cruise. Get ready to witness the natural beauty and rich history of Adelaide’s waterways!

As soon as we board our boat, our adventure around the coast of Adelaide will begin. From the outset, we'll be treated to stunning views as our guide shares information about the local history and famous ships encountered along the way.

The Port Adelaide River is rich in stories, stemming from its maritime past as a trading hub. As we sail, we'll observe famous shipwrecks and landmarks, each holding its own story. We will see massive wrecks, half-submerged in the Port River, and learn their histories.

Next, we'll make our way to the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, home to a wild dolphin population living within the city. Keep an eye out for the local dolphins, and in warmer months, we might spot newborn calves.

Continuing on, we'll head towards the International Bird Sanctuary for a chance to see migratory shorebirds, including threatened species such as the Curlew Sandpiper, along with recognizable species like the Australian Pelican and Pied Cormorant.

Finally, after a total of 1.5 hours, we'll conclude this cruise.

Important

Dolphins are unpredictable creatures, so we cannot guarantee a sighting. The chances of spotting them depend on various natural and weather-related factors.
