Visit the ruins of the city that was destroyed by one of the most well-known eruptions of all time on our Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip. We'll set off from Maiori and take a trip almost 2,000 years back in time.

Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your chosen pickup point and set off for the ancient city of Pompeii. After a 50-minute drive, we'll arrive and take a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii. We'll revisit the 24th of August 79 AD, when Vesuvius erupted, burying a prosperous city in the Roman Empire.

During the tour, we will see excavated remains, including the forum, baths, and theatre. As we explore this World Heritage Site, we will learn about daily life at that time. Following the tour, you will have 1 hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will head to Mount Vesuvius. We will ascend the first 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) by bus and then walk to the top. At the summit, we will enjoy views of the Bay of Naples.

Finally, we will descend the volcano and return by bus to Maiori, completing a total of 10 hours of exploration.
