Gwalior Private Day Trip

The day begins with pick up at your hotel in Agra, heading approximately two and a half hours south through Madhya Pradesh to the historic city of Gwalior.

The first stop is the imposing Gwalior Fort, built in the 15th century by Rajah Man Singh Tomar. Here, you will learn about its turbulent history and observe the intricately carved sculptures of the bastion.

Following the fort visit, there will be a lunch break allowing one hour of free time to taste local specialties at nearby restaurants.

After lunch, the tour continues to the Jai Vilas Palace, where you will learn about its construction and European architectural influences. The palace also features the Scindia Museum, showcasing items from the Scindia dynasty, including carriages, sculptures, and decorative arts like carved Belgian glass furniture.

After the museum tour, we will return to your hotel in Agra.
