We will collect you from the hotel and head towards the Itimad-ud-Daulah tomb. This mausoleum is located on the banks of the river Yamuna and is commonly known as “the small Taj”.

During our visit we will discover why the tomb is considered to be the precursor to the famous Taj Mahal. We will hear about the relationship between the nobleman buried in the mausoleum and the emperor who constructed the Taj Mahal decades later while admiring the detailed architecture of this white marble building.

We will continue the tour in the Mehtab Bagh garden. This square park was constructed on the banks opposite the Taj Mahal, offering the best views of the monument.

During the visit you will learn about the history of the Mehtab Bagh. Legend has it that Sha Jahan, who designed the Taj Mahal, wanted to construct a black marble replica here. Is there any truth to this rumour?

Stroll around the symmetrical gardens at your leisure and take photos of the Taj Mahal. When the tour concludes, we will take you back to your hotel.
