Valley of the Temples Private Tour

We will meet at the Chiosca della Limonata at your chosen time and start our private tour of Agrigento, also known as Agracante.

This 2-hour tour in the iconic Valley of the Temples covers one of the centres of Magna Graecia, comparable to Athens' Acropolis. The area’s Doric temples were declared a World Heritage Site in 1998 due to their preservation. We will enjoy a view of the Mediterranean Sea from the Temple of Juno and walk along the Via Sacra, admiring the ancient walls referenced in Virgil's The Aeneid. Our route includes the Temple of Concordia, where we will learn about its history.

We will also pass by a paleochristian necropolis and discuss various historical periods. Additionally, we will see the Temples of Heracles and Zeus and explore mythological legends about Agracante.

The tour concludes 2 hours after it begins at the Temple of Zeus.

3-hour Tour

If you prefer a longer experience, you can extend your visit to include the Temple of Castor and Pollux and the Kolymbetra Garden, known for its orange and lemon trees. The private tour will conclude in the Kolymbetra Garden after 3 hours of exploration.
