Valley of the Temples Sunset Tour

Join us for a tour of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento at sunset. We will meet at the Porta di Giunone to begin our exploration of this significant archaeological site.

The tour starts at the entrance of the Temple of Juno, where we will learn about ancient rituals and celebrations. The stunning landscape, illuminated by the setting sun, provides a picturesque backdrop as we explore.

Next, we will visit the Temple of Heracles, one of the oldest structures in the valley, before moving to the Temple of Concord, notable for its Doric architecture. The proportions and design combined with the sunset create a remarkable scene.

Our tour proceeds to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, famous for its colossal columns and significant historical context. We will conclude the visit at Porta V, an ancient city entrance that led to the sanctuary of the Chthonic deities, discussing the beliefs surrounding the Underworld.

The tour will conclude after 2 hours.
