Valley of the Temples Sunset Tour

Join us at the Porta di Giunone for a tour of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento at sunset. This visit will focus on the history, art, and mythology of the region.

The tour starts at the Temple of Juno, the key archaeological site in Sicily. Here, we will explore the ancient rituals and celebrations held in this sanctuary, set against the backdrop of sprawling valleys illuminated by the sunset.

Next, we will walk to the Temple of Heracles, one of the valley's oldest structures, before proceeding to the Temple of Concord, exemplifying Doric architecture. The harmonious design and sunset view create a picturesque scene.

We will then visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, noted for its enormous columns and ruins, indicative of its historical significance. The tour concludes at Porta V, a former main city entrance leading to the sanctuary of the Chthonic deities, where we will discuss the mysteries and beliefs surrounding the Underworld.

The tour will last for approximately 2 hours.
