Valley of the Temples Tour

At the indicated time, we will meet at the ticket office of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, commencing the tour of one of Italy's best-preserved archaeological sites and a World Heritage Site.

As we explore this site, we will experience the essence of classical times. The valley consists of twelve temples, two agoras, and a bouleuterion, the meeting place for the council.

This area was the center of ancient Akragas, the first Greek settlement in Agrigento. We will tour structures that inspired poets, philosophers, and painters, delving into their historical and architectural significance.

Our first stop will be the Temple of Juno, followed by a visit to the remarkable Temple of Concordia, where we will view the remains of an early Christian necropolis.

We will also see the Temple of Heracles and the ruins of the Temple of Zeus as we highlight classical mythological figures associated with these sites.

After this exploration of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, the tour will conclude approximately two hours after the starting time.
