At the indicated time, we'll meet at the access steps to the historical center of Agropoli that lead to the majestic Angio-Aragonese castle.
First up, we'll cross the Porta Bizantina, one of the town's main entrances dating back to medieval times. Crossing the gate, we'll immerse ourselves in the historical atmosphere of Agropoli Vecchia, walking along the cobbled streets lined with stone houses.
Next, we'll visit the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, a 16th-century building known for its simple facade and captivating frescoed interior. Afterward, we'll wander the narrow streets of the village, experiencing the authentic atmosphere of a typical Cilento village.
Then, we'll head to the Aragonese Castle to admire its exterior. This 8th-century fortress dominates the village from the top of the promontory. We'll explore its towers and learn about the history and legends linked to this site. Finally, we'll descend to a viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the sea and the cliffs.
Afterward, we'll go to the port of Agropoli for a coffee and cake or ice cream, bringing our experience to an end 3 hours later.
