Tour of Agropoli

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the access steps to the historical center of Agropoli leading to the Angio-Aragonese castle.

We will begin by crossing the Porta Bizantina, one of the main medieval entrances to the town. This will lead us into the historical atmosphere of Agropoli Vecchia, as we walk along the cobblestone streets flanked by stone houses.

Next, we will visit the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, a 16th-century sacred architectural gem noted for its simple creative facade and captivating frescoed interior. We will then continue through the narrow winding streets of the village, experiencing the authentic vibe of a typical Cilento village.

Following this, we will head to the Aragonese Castle to view its exterior. This 8th-century fortress overlooks the village from a promontory. We will explore its towers and learn about its history and legends. Finally, we will descend to a viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and cliffs.

After the tour, we will visit the port of Agropoli for a coffee and cake or ice cream, concluding our experience 3 hours after starting.
