Discover the charm of Luberon on this day trip to the villages of Roussillon, Lourmarin, and Fontaine de Vaucluse. You'll also visit a traditional market!

Luberon Market & Villages Tour

We'll meet at the Aix-en-Provence Tourist Office at 9 am and depart in a minibus to explore the villages of Luberon. The order of the visits may change daily.

First, we will visit Roussillon, known for its ochre-coloured houses and cliffs. We will also see Lourmarin, famous for its Renaissance castle, where you can stroll through the streets and admire various architectural styles.

Next, we will proceed to Fontaine de Vaucluse, located by the Sorgue River, featuring stunning landscapes and a pleasant stream-side walk. A brief stop will also be made in Gordes to view its historic castle and enjoy panoramic views.

Finally, we will visit a traditional Provencal market for some souvenir shopping. Local artisanal products available include handmade soaps, lavender, cheeses, and fruits. Market days are: Tuesday in Gordes, Thursday in Roussillon, Friday in Lourmarin, Saturday in Apt, and Sunday in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

We will return to Aix-en-Provence around 6:30 pm.

Itinerary Adjustments

Between mid-June and mid-July, we will include a brief stop at the abbey of Sénanque for photos of the lavender field.
