Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we will meet at Athanasiou Diakou and depart for the Corinth Canal, stopping briefly to appreciate this engineering marvel. A discussion on the history of Corinth will be provided, although the city will not be visited.
Next, travel to Epidaurus, the birthplace of Asclepius, Apollo’s son. Follow your English-speaking guide to the Ancient Theatre, noted for its outstanding preservation and acoustic properties.
Prior to departing Epidaurus, enjoy free time to explore the Archaeological Museum, highlighting ancient medical practices associated with the Temple of Asclepius.
After the museum, board the bus and view the scenic valleys before arriving at Mycenae, a central hub of Greek civilization. Discover the archaeological site linked to Agamemnon, with insights into the Iliad and the Odyssey from your guide.
Following the visit to the citadel, the Lion's Gate, and the Tomb of Agamemnon, we will return to Athens, arriving approximately 10 hours after the initial pickup.
