On this day trip from Las Vegas, we will visit Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai Reservation and make a photo stop at the Hoover Dam on our return.
Day Trip Details
We will meet at Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas and depart for the Grand Canyon. The journey includes crossing the Colorado River and traveling through the Mojave Desert with guided narration.
After approximately 2.5 hours, we will arrive at Grand Canyon West, where you will have around 4 hours to explore the area.
We will first visit Eagle Point for views of the eagle-shaped rock formation.
After lunch, we will climb to Guano Point for panoramic views of the Colorado River and the remains of an old aerial tramway leading to the Bat Cave.
Before leaving, we will stop at Hualapai Ranch to view displays of Native American dwellings and cultural exhibits, learning about the Hualapai Tribe and Grand Canyon geology.
On our return to Las Vegas, we will stop at the Arizona Joshua Tree Forest, the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge for views of the Hoover Dam, and Hemenway Park to spot local Bighorn Sheep.
We will return you to Las Vegas and drop you off at the meeting point.
